That the application for the relaxation of the 1.5m street building line along Da Gama Street applicable to garages to 0m to allow for the proposed garage extension as indicated on Plan A00 2 of 6, Dated 2016.09.27 in respect of Erf 2952, Strand, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law
REASONS FOR DECISION:
1. The proposed extension to the garage is in keeping with the characteristics of a residential property;
2. Da Gama Street is characterized by garages to the front of the residential dwellings with a few houses having structures (garages/carports) to the street front;
3. Adequate on-site parking is available to the South-Western portion of the property, the extension to the existing garage will allow for ease of movement
