Homes for the aged <h2 class="sectHeading">Frail care facilities​​​​​</h2><p>Consider frail care when even simple daily activities such as eating, personal hygiene and moving about without assistance, become difficult. The City manages 12 complexes, with a total of 529 self-catering units for citizens over the age of 60. </p><p>As these are self-catering units, tenants have to be able-bodied and not in need of frail care. Each complex is supervised by an Area Manager who takes care of building maintenance as and when required by tenants, with the City providing all other essential services.</p><p> <a href="">See the City’s senior citizens complexes for older persons</a></p><h2 class="sectHeading">Independent living facilities​​​​​</h2><p>Older people who are still independent, but prefer to stay with other seniors (overseen by a carer) often enjoy staying in an independent living facility.
