RESOLVED
That it be noted that Subcouncil 21 recommends to the Liquor Authority that the application for a liquor licence received from JP’S PLACE, Erf 5859, 25 Lynette Close, Brentwood Park, Blue Downs for Consumption OFF Premises, BE NOT SUPPORTED and that the following reasons for the non-support be recorded:
- The subject property, namely Erf 5859, Blue Downs is zoned for Single Residential 1 (Conventional Housing) purpose, which does not permit the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-site / off-site consumption as a primary land use right or as consent use. It is further advised that a formal Temporary Land Use Departure application to regularise the unauthorised sale of alcoholic beverage (on-site/off-site) consumption) needs to be submitted to the Department: Development Management (LUMS).
- The granting of liquor licence will not be in the public interest. Furthermore, that the Brentwood Community objected to the application received.
- That the premise is in the vicinity of the Brentwood Community Church.
