RESOLVED
That the application for the renewal of extension of liquor trading hours from 11:00 to 18:00 for Sunday trading for off-consumption premises in respect of Liquor City Kuilsriver - WCP/035685 (renewal), Cnr of Skyvue & Van Riebeeck Road, Kuilsriver, BE REFUSED for the following reasons:

There are nine (9) churches in Deshamdon and the wider Sarepta area

The Kingdom of God International Ministries church is situated in the same building above the Pondorosa Liqour Store

The Ebenezer Congregational church is in close proximity, with 662 members, situated ±50m from the premises

The Old Apostolic Church is situated on the corner of Sarepta and Rietvlei Roads (the liquor store is situated in Rietvlei Road)

St Georges the Martyr with 1 500 members, is situated about 75m from the premises, further down the road

The New Apostolic Church is situated ±60m from the premises

The Calvinist Church is situated ±60m from the premises

There are schools within the area and surrounding area

The extension of liquor trading hours will have an extremely negative impact on the area
