Resolution detail

Cllr Pakade said that he received the application and mentioned that the Subcouncil resolved that the big companies are not allowed to operate on Sundays as they have an agreement with the Langa Liquor association, that these big cooperate companies need to allow local traders to trade on Sundays.
 
Ald Smith said that we should not approve liquor outlets in Langa and close illegal outlets in the area as it there are violent incidents and illegal activities being reported.
 
It was RESOLVED that
 
(a) The application for extension of liquor trading hours for Sunday trading off-consumption premises in respect of Shoprite Liqourshop, Brinton RD, Langa, BE NOT SUPPORTED.
