RESOLVED

It is recommended that:

It be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from Long Sports Bar (Kuilsriver) was considered in terms of sub delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:

Subcouncil 21 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA24080006, for the business Long Sports Bar (Kuilsriver) at 2 LAURENCE DALE OAKDENE SHOULD NOT BE SUPPORTED.

At the sub-delegated meeting held between the Chairperson, Ward Cllr and Subcouncil Manager, Subcouncil 14 does not support the application based on the following:

After thorough public participation, the application is not supported which is not in the public interest to support the application.

Many objections received from community, community organisations and religious institutions.

Parking would be an issue as well.
