b.)The motion submitted regarding the request for a safe space in Helderberg, as proposed by Cllr Peck and seconded by Cllr Punt BE ACCEPTED.

Cllr Peck informed the meeting that a meeting has been SCHEDULED to take place on Friday, 25 April 2025, in the Live Church, Somerset West and requested for a summary of the report namely; Assessment of Alternative Sites for the Proposed Development of a Safe Space for Rough Sleeper in the Strand to be submitted to the meeting.

It was RESOLVED that;
a) The Ward Councillor, Cllr Punt (Ward 83) informed the meeting that there was an invite sent out for a meeting which is SCHEDULED to take place on Tuesday, 28th of October 2025 for the Assessment of Alternative Sites. The Ward Councillor, Cllr McFarlane (Ward 84) informed the Chairperson, that there is a “correction”, he just consulted his diary, and the meeting is actually taking place at the Somerset West Library Hall, and it's not at Life Church.
b) The Motion: Ward 15 – To Request That a Safe Space Be Established for the Helderberg REMAINS part of the Matters Receiving Attention report until it is resolved.
c) The Department: Community, Arts and Culture Development is to provide an update in the November 2025 Subcouncil meeting.
