Resolution detail

RESOLVED that having considered the City of Cape Town Traffic Calming Policy
and the recommendation from Transport Planning & Network Management
Department;


a) Nelson Road is a Class 5 Local Street located within a medium-density residential area of Observatory.
b) Our assessment indicated that Jubilee Community Church is located along Nelson Road which may attract vulnerable or high concentration of pedestrian activity across the study roadway.
c) Therefore, the potential for pedestrian/vehicle conflict along Nelson Road can be considered high in the vicinity of Jubilee Community Church and compliant with Section 7(1) of the Traffic Calming Policy.
d) It is recommended to implement one speed hump along Nelson Road.
