Resolution detail

RESOLVED that having considered the City of Cape Town Traffic Calming Policy
and the recommendation from Transport Planning & Network Management
Department;

a) Main Drive and Glengariff Road are Class 5 Local Streets located within a medium-density residential area of Sea Point.
b) Our assessment indicated that Sea Point Primary School is located near the Main Drive/Glengariff Road intersection, which may attract vulnerable or high concentrations of pedestrian activities across the study intersection.
c) Therefore, the potential for traffic calming measures at the Main Drive/Glengariff Road intersection, can be considered high and compliant with Section 7(2) of the Traffic Calming Policy.
