It BE NOTED that an application for a liquor license received from Brasidi’s Tavern was considered in terms of sub-delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended: Subcouncil 13 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA24070019, for the business Brasidi’s Tavern at 183 Steve Biko Drive, Gugulethu, SHOULD NOT BE SUPPORTED,
Application not supported with the following reasons from Planning Department:
The property is zoned for Single Residential (SR2): Incremental Housing in terms of the CoCT Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, which does not permit the sale of alcoholic beverages. No land use approval has been found granted for the property and therefore the rights do not permit the intended activity
