Resolution detail

It was RESOLVED that subcouncil 15 recommended that the granting of the right to use, control and/or manage City owned land and building located on a portion of registered erf 24544-re Cape Town, situated at Voortrekker Road also known as Maitland Crematorium, measuring approximately 2.17 ha on lease plan LIS2817, attached as Annexure A to the report, to the Independent Crematorium SA (pty) Ltd or their successor in title be approved, subject to inter alia the following conditions, that:
 

1. A market rental of R56 000 per month excluding VAT be payable;

2. The above rental will escalate at 6% per annum;

3. The lease will endure for a period of three (3) years, subject to a cancellation clause of  months;

4. The property be used for crematorium purposes only;

5. Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Transactions in terms of his delegated authority;

6. Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirement.
