RESOLVED
That the outcome of the investigation for an all-way stop at van Jaarsveld Street / Plettenberg Street, Welgemoed BE NOTED and implementation as recommended be dealt with by the relevant line department:

Based on the criteria evaluation for all-way stop controls, it is evident that three criteria do not support the implementation of an all-way stop control. Therefore, an all-way stop control is not recommended at the Van Jaarsveld Street/Plettenberg Street intersection.

However, due to the steep gradient of Plettenberg Street, it is recommended that crossroad (W102) road signs be installed along Plettenberg Street, in advance of the study intersection. This will ensure that motorists travelling along Plettenberg Street toward the study intersection are aware of the Van Jaarsveld Street/Plettenberg Street intersection.
Refer to Drawing TNDN4344-01 in Annexure B (agenda page 859) for the proposed signage layout.
