It be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from Lakeside Brewing Company was considered in terms of sub delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
Subcouncil 19 recommended that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA24050011, for the business Lakeside Brewing Company at 62 MAIN KALK BAY BE SUPPORTED WITH CONDITIONS.
Subcouncil 19 supports the application subject to the following conditions:

That a copy of approved plans for a restaurant on the property be submitted to the Development Management department

That a land use application be submitted to the Development Management Department for approval

The change of use from a shop (which does not include the sale of alcoholic beverages) to a restaurant will require a land use application as the property is located within a heritage protection overlay zone, as well as a possible parking departure.

That the required plans be submitted to the Fire Services Department for approval.

No trading after 22h30 as it is close to a residential area.
