RESOLVED that it BE NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from Tropicana was considered in terms of sub delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
Subcouncil 16 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA24050014, for the business Tropicana at 6 KLOOF SEA POINT BE SUPPORTED WITH CONDITIONS:
Subject to the following:
1. Completion of construction of the premises in order for a site visit to be set up.
2. The applicant obtaining an appropriate business licence from the City of Cape Town.
3. Subject to noise not being an issue.
4. Only back ground music being permitted with no entertainment license.
5. Liquor license to extend to no further than midnight as this is a restaurant and not a club.
6. No drinking on the pavement and no tables and chairs on the pavement area.
7. The venue is in very close proximity to many residential units on all sides.
