The Meeting Chairperson asked the official to take the meeting through the presentation Cllr Moses welcomed the presentation and wanted to find out if the housing survey is it the direct transition from the data management policy and the field workers are they from the areas that they will be working in because of the dynamics. He also said they are they going to use the EPWP office in getting names from our areas to do the survey via the sub council office. Cllr Cassiem asked how this survey is different from the Census. Ms. Nel said that she will find out from the manager about the Data Policy that Cllr Moses was referring to and said that they have followed all the data management practices and processes.. She also said that field workers were selected by the contractors and they will be from the area and asked that they engage with community leaders. She said that this survey is not the same as census as it is not a count of people, but the intention to get perceptions. They are not targeting all residents, but a representative sample of the population of Cape Town. Cllr Moses said she will send an email to the official with all the questions and revert back to the subcouncil. There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.
Cllr Cassiem noted the report seconded by Cllr Moses. RESOLVED That the presentation on Cape Town housing survey BE NOTED. . Action: ELMARIE NEL
