Resolution detail

Cllr Adams introduced the report and said that the item is for noting. He asked if the official is present in the meeting. Mr. Daniels said that the official is not in the meeting. Cllr Adams said that the report states the plan for pre public participation and the report should be noted. Ald Jacobs said that the report was tabled in the last meeting and should be noted. Cllr Moses said that there is concerned with the informal settlements and also there is issue with rental stock is that structures are being built on Council rental stock and the underworld are renting out the properties in some of the hostels. Cllr Adams said that there was a an agreement that all hostels will be upgraded and there was a pre identification on those that are on privately owned land and the City had a plan on how they were going to start with that including the electrification. Cllr Moses said that there is a plan to upgrade the CRU and previously they could get USDG funding and now there is a shifting of the funding. Cllr Achmat said that is the Subcouncil going to condone where officials are not present in meeting. Cllr Moses said that the report was tabled in the last meeting and this is an updated
report. There was unanimous agreement with the resolution to defer the report. . RESOLVED That the report be DEFERRED with comments made by councilors.
