Resolution detail

That after consideration of the objections received and the responses to these objections, the Transport Portfolio Committee should recommend to MAYCO and thereafter to Council that the following road layout and traffic flow changes are APPROVED:

1. Opening the southwestern end of Wildeboom Road to allow vehicles to turn from Faure Marine Drive into Wildeboom Road.

1. Providing road markings and signs to show that the new access from Faure Marine Drive onto Wildeboom Road between the Village Plaza front parking area and Lancaster Road will remain a two-way road.

1. Closing the current access from Faure Marine Drive onto Water Way. The current exit from Water Way onto Faure Marine Drive will remain and Water Way will remain a two-way road between the Village Plaza front paring area and Lancaster Road.

1. Changing the Faure Marine Drive median break opposite Wildeboom Road so that road users on the Strand approach of Faure Marine Drive will be unable to turn right into the service station (Erf 1053), but vehicles will not be able to exit the service station towards Rooi Els.
