Resolution detail

RESOLVED that having considered the City of Cape Town Traffic Calming Policy and the recommendation from Transport Planning & Network Management Department;
 
a)    Percival Street is a Class 4 Collector located within a medium density residential area of Tijgerhof.
 
b)    Our assessment indicated that there are no public amenities such as schools, play parks etc. along Percival Street to attract vulnerable or high concentrations of pedestrian activity across the study roadway
 
 
c)     Our assessment indicated that there are no public amenities such as schools, play parks etc. along Percival Street to attract vulnerable or high concentrations of pedestrian activity across the study roadway.
d)    Our assessment indicated that there are no public amenities such as schools, play parks etc. along Percival Street to attract vulnerable or high concentrations of pedestrian activity across the study roadway.
 
e)    Therefore, the potential for pedestrian/vehicle conflict along Percival Street is considered low and non-compliant with Section 7(3) of the Traffic Calming Policy.
 
Given the above and considering the City of Cape Town Traffic Policy, regretfully traffic calming measures cannot currently be considered along the length of Percival Street.
