That based on the assessment and having considered the City of Cape Town’s Traffic Calming Policy, additional traffic calming NOT BE SUPPORTED for the reasons as set out below.
REASONS FOR NON SUPPORT RECEIVED FROM TRANSPORT (Akhona Maseko)

Manchester Street is a class 4 collector road located within a medium density residential area of Uitzicht.

Our assessment indicated that there is a greenbelt / public open space along Manchester Street which may attract significant volumes of vulnerable pedestrians along or across the study roadway. However there’s already 2 speed humps implemented adjacent to the public open space.
