It was recommended that:

The proposed development on Erf 9702, Ruwari, Brackenfell, Cape Town BE NOTED;
-
The planning activities to be undertaken to prepare the property for development BE NOTED;
-
The Land disposal processes be followed to release the property to the market in accordance with the Municipal Finance Management Act (2008) and the Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations (2008) BE NOTED;
-
The associated public participation processes that may be triggered by the above BE NOTED.
Further Resolved:
-
That Subcouncil 2 ACKNOWLEDGE the contents of the report, Intention to Obtain Subcouncil Support for the Proposed Sale and Development of Erf 9702, Ruwari, Brackenfell, Cape Town for Affordable Housing Purposes;

That the initial zoning be adhered to for the principal development of the site;

That a community public participation strategy be followed and led by the ward councillor, Ald G Twigg;
-
That the item on (a) above be discussed at the next Subcouncil 2 Activity Day in terms of the pre-submission inclusion of the site.
