G Hanekom indicated a survey was being conducted in the area, a piece of land was identified to relocate these residents as Goal Supermarket wants its land. He indicated that it was ascertained that the land was privately owned, currently busy with Property Management Department to liaise with the owner for purchase of this land.
He indicated that a meeting will be held in first week in February 2024 to re-discuss this matter with the Land owner with the Director of Human Settlement, feedback will be provided to the Subcouncil, currently there is no power of attorney for this land.
Cllr N Makasi requested that Cllr N Ntshweza’ s name be reflected on the MRA list and a follow up meeting with the relevant official be arranged to get feedback after the meeting of Director with owner of the land.
