REPORT ON SERVICE REQUESTS IN SUBCOUNCIL 14 FOR JULY 2023

Mr. Daniels introduced the report and explained that it provides an overview of the status of notifications created during July 2023.

A total of 2340 notifications were created during the period in question for areas within Subcouncil 14 geographical area. Of these 2176 were completed, 71 are in process and 93 notifications were outstanding.

The Subcouncil Chairperson recommended the following strategy for C3’s.

The Subcouncil needs to identify all C3’s occurring repeatedly in the wards. Identify One (1) Issue monthly per ward such as illegal dumping, inform the Cllrs in writing, conduct site visits inviting the relevant officials.

Cllr Nqavashe requested for this to be done fortnightly. The Subcouncil Chairperson proposed the strategy of involving School principals to create awareness on illegal dumping and get the learners to be involved in cleaning campaign.

Ald Jacobs proposed for the adoption of the resolution seconded by Cllr Cassiem.

There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.

RESOLVED
That the Report on Service Requests in Subcouncil 14 for July 2023 BE NOTED with the comments made by Cllrs.
