Resolution detail

Mr. Daniels introduced the report and explained that the Rules of Order have been formulated to promote freedom of expression in Council meetings in such a manner as to allow for orderly debate by as large a number of members as is possible within reasonable time constraints. The rules endeavour to create an opportunity for members of Council to air their views on other matters of public importance.

Cllr Adams proposed for the adoption of the resolution seconded by Cllr Nikelo.

There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.

RESOLVED
That the Report on Rules of order for Subcouncil Meetings of the City of Cape Town BE NOTED.
