RESOLVED
That it be NOTED that an application for the renewal of extended liquor trading hours (off-consumption) in respect of Pick n Pay Liquor (Epping Gardens), situated at Shop 3, Block B, Viking Business Park, corner of Viking and Showgrounds Avenue, Epping Gardens Shopping Centre, for trading Mondays to Saturdays 18:00 – 20:00 and Sundays 11:00 - 18:00 was considered under sub delegated authority by the Subcouncil Manager, in consultation with the Chairperson of Subcouncil 4 and Ward Councillor of Ward 28 and that the following decision was taken on 12 September 2023:

That the application for the renewal of extended trading hours (off-consumption) submitted by Pick n Pay Liquor (Epping Gardens) situated at Shop 3, Block B, Viking Business Park, corner of Viking and Showgrounds Avenue, Epping Gardens Shopping Centre, for trading on Mondays to Saturdays 18:00 – 20:00 and Sundays 11:00 - 18:00 BE APPROVED as it complies with the criteria included in the City of Cape Town: Control of Undertakings that Sell Liquor to the Public By-Law, 2013.

Should complaints be received concerning noise and/or unruly behaviour of patrons, these complaints will be investigated and may result in the extended trading hours being withdrawn and will also be referred to the Western Cape Liquor Authority which may jeopardise the renewal of the liquor licence.

This approval is also subject to compliance with all relevant by-laws of the City of Cape Town.

This approval will be valid for 12 months from the date of the decision subject to the possession of a valid liquor licence.
