That the outcome of the traffic calming assessments received during the period March 2023 BE NOTED.

That the Transport Department (Transport Planning and Network Management) in future to holistically consider traffic calming requests within a specific ward / area within Subcouncil.
C. That the applicant(s), where applicable be informed of the outcome of their traffic calming requests with reference being made to the budget constraint.

Ward 21/70: Intersection at Reservoir Road (Ward 21) / Witboom Avenue (Ward 70), Kenridge/Eversdal (TNDN3459). Request for traffic mini circle at the intersection of Reservoir and Witboom Avenue in the vicinity of Fairmont High School submitted by Melissa.
1.1 That given the high volume of vehicles, making u-turns at the intersection of Reservoir/Witboom Street, Kenridge/Eversdal (vicinity of Fairmont High School), it BE RECOMMENDED that a mini circle be implemented at the intersection to allow for motorists to turn back on themselves safely.
1.2 That the line department IMPLEMENTS the mini-circle on its schools programme.
1.3 That due to the identified safety concerns, the line department be requested to place the matter on their 2023/24 budget.
2. Ward 103: Vredekloof Road / Essenhout Street, Vredekloof (TNDN3957). Request for traffic calming at the intersection of Vredekloof / Essenhout Street was received from the Vredekloof CID. The possible upgrade alternatives as reflected on agenda pages 367,368 and 369 were discussed of which proposal C as reflected on agenda page 368 was supported, i.e.

That proposal C, page 368 of the agenda be supported: a raised intersection, including an all-way stop control and painted pedestrian crossing BE IMPLEMENTED at the intersection of Vredekloof/Essenhout Street, Vredekloof, cost be borne by the line department as calming is in close proximity of a school.

In addition, a request to fix the existing stormwater inlet along Vredekloof Road was also logged with the maintenance department (ref. No: 9114356156) to address.
3. Ward 103: Vredekloof Road between Ysterhout Street and Brackenfell Boulevard, Vredekloof as well as Mopanie Crescent (TNDN3813). Request for traffic calming received from Erika Reyneke.
That the item BE DEFERRED in lieu of a consultation with the line department, the item to again serve on the May agenda.
4. Ward 103: Vredekloof Road from De Bron entry throughout Vredekloof Road, Vredekloof (TNDN3907) Traffic calming request received from Dwayne Pengilly.
That the item BE DEFERRED in lieu of a consultation with the line department, the item to again serve on the May agenda.
5. Ward 112: Sonneweelde Street, Goedemoed (TNDN3721): Request for traffic calming received from Jaco Botha.
That the appliciation BE DEFERRED with delegated authority to the Ward Councillor, Chairperson and acting Subcouncil Manager and that the Subcouncil Manager BE TASKED to report on the decision at the next Subcouncil meeting.
