That it be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from MZALA TAVERN was considered in terms of sub-delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
SubCouncil 03 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA23020012, for the business Mzala Tavern NOT BE SUPPORTED for the following reasons:
Town Planning: Not supported.
The base zone is Single Residential 1: conventional housing with no business rights permitting the tavern: the sale of alcohol or off-site sales are available on this site. The relevant zoning rights are not in place.
Fire: Not supported.
Applicant to submit fire plan to Building Development Management, Pienaar Rd, Milnerton which complies with SANS 10400-T:2020 prior to approval of licence.
