RESOLVED to RECOMMEND
 
That Remainder Erf 28 and Erven 67, 68 and 69 Highlands Estate, situated at corner of George Smit and Leek Street, Highlands Estate, in extent 1983m² and as indicated as ABCD on plan 130008448 attached as Annexure “A” to the report, be reserved for the Recreation and Parks Department, subject to the following conditions:
 

1. The subject property shall only be utilised for the purpose of establishing a neighbourhood park;

2. The Recreation and Parks Department takes responsibility for the required land use processes, as well as compliance with any related legislation;

3. The said Department accepts full responsibility for the management and maintenance of the land and any structure to be erected thereon, including maintenance, utility consumption, security and content insurance, as is applicable;

4. That all costs related to the above be provided for by the Recreation and Parks Department.
