Activity Day Meeting – 6 October 2021
The Chairperson stated that the comments reflect that there is no budget and appealed to the officials to not say there is no budget but rather to phrase that there is no budget currently because every year in May, Council allocate the budget, so there is always budget. He said their might not be budget now but that officials need to say that it is something they can look at in the future and be mindful how they phrase their words.
Cllr Peck stated that hardening of surfaces is not nescessarily the Ward Cllr’s allocation to be used, it can be utilised on humanitarian relief, maintaining the parks or on other projects. He said that hardening of surfaces where people should walk on must be done by the Department.
RESOLVED
That the item REMAINS on the MRA’s.

The Subcouncil Manager explained that Ward 15 and 84 109 was previously part of Subcouncil 24 and therefore all the matters receiving attention was carried over to Subcouncil 8. Cllr Peck and McFarlane, the ward councillors of ward 15 and 84 said that these matters could be dealt with directly with the line departments at a separate meeting that will be arranged by the Subcouncil office therefore it be proposed that the Matters Receiving for Wards 15 and 84 it be closed.
RESOLVED
That all the matters receiving attention relating to Wards 15 and 84, BE CLOSED.
