Resolution detail
It is recommended that the lease of portion of City land, being a portion of Erf 18205 Goodwood, 106 Edgemead drive, Goodwood, shown hatched on attached sketch marked Annexure A, in extent approximately ± 100 m², to Atlas Tower (Pty) Ltd, be approved subject to inter alia the following conditions:

A City approved rental of R13 488.43 per month excluding VAT where applicable be payable;

The rental will escalate at 8% per annum;

The lease will endure for a period of ten years, plus an option to renew, subject at any time to 2 months’ notice of termination;

The proposed leased area to be used for telecommunication infrastructure purposes only;
-
Subject to such further conditions imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority;

Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;
-
No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property;
-
All outstanding accounts with the City of Cape Town be settled;
-
No lease agreement will be concluded until the Land Use application and an Electricity supply application being approved.
FURTHER RESOLVED

That the tower be moved tower be moved to the back of the property;
-
that it be disguised as a tree to blend in with the surrounding area.
