It was RESOLVED that Subcouncil 15 SUPPORT and RECOMMEND to Council:
 

  1. To approve the following organisations to deliver its Humanitarian Relief Programme:
 
  1. Peninsula School Feeding Association to render food relief services by distributing raw food material to compliant soup / food kitchens (in possession of a Certificate of Acceptability) in both Ward 51 and Ward 52 for the total value of R129 310 per Ward. Additional food kitchens will maximise the impact in the Wards;
 
  1. Nine Miles Project to render food relief services by distributing food parcels / hampers, to the maximum value of R400 per household in line with the Department of Social Development’s guidelines, to predetermined beneficiaries within Ward 53, for the total value of R129 310;
 
  1. South African Urban Food and Farming Trust to render food relief services by distributing raw food material to compliant soup / food kitchens (in possession of a Certificate of Acceptability) in Ward 55 for the total value of R129 310;
 
  1. Play Sport 4 Life to render food relief services by distributing raw food material to compliant soup / food kitchens (in possession of a Certificate of Acceptability) in Ward 56 for the total value of R129 310 Ward;
 
  1. That the organisations submit revised business plans, if required, to the Subcouncil Manager, once approved by Council.
