Mr. Daniels said he would like to know the departmental plan with regards to the Public Participation. He mentioned that the locality of the spatial framework do not align to Subcouncil boundaries which are changing from time to time.
Cllr Makasi said that the area that are mentioned in the report cuts across Subcouncil 13 and Subcouncil 14. Majority of the area fall within Subcouncil 14.
Councillors need to keep informed and monitor the process. Councillors also need to meet the officials involved and community even when demarcation occurs the community will not be left unattended.
Mr. Daniels requested that community members be encouraged to fully engage with the process. This sets out the vision for the area for the next 20 to 30 years.
Cllr Ngxumza said the report was tabled in the portfolio meeting and supports the report.
Cllr Zondani said that he concurs with the previous speaker and said that in the report the main focus area are Bellville and Philippi and there is not a clear communication about Subcouncil 14 and how is this going to affect our areas.
Mr. Cumming said that a detailed report will be sent to the Subcouncil.
