RESOLVED
 

1. Wolfgat Subcouncil 12 recommends that the application for a liquor licence received from Twin Liquors, Mitchells Plain for the extension of trading days and hours – Sundays from 11:00 to 18:00 for Consumption OFF Premises, Reference No WCP/037132, Erf 28955, 41 Paulsberg Street, Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain be REFUSED for the reasons set out as follows:

1. That the temporary land use departure will expire on 10 May 2021;
2. That Wolfgat Subcouncil unanimously decided to vary all Sunday trading applications, within a residential area, from 12:00 to 18:00.
3. That the liquor outlet is in a residential area;
4. That the liquor outlet is in Paulsberg Road which is a main road in Tafelsig;
5. That the liquor outlet is situated in close proximity to educational institutions namely the Islamic School and Cascade Primary School;
6. That it is in close proximity to a religious institution namely the church on the corner of Sentinal Road;
7. That there is insufficient space for parking;
8. That the delivery trucks are causing damage to the road infrastructure and blocks traffic within Paulsberg Road;
