RESOLVED that it BE NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from STONEWOOD HIDEAWAY was considered in terms of sub delegation authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
Subcouncil 16 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA20110032, for the business Stonewood Hideaway BE NOT SUPPORTED:
The Subcouncil cannot support the application for the following reasons:
1. The property is Zoned Single Residential Zone 1 which does not permit the proposed Guesthouse use.
2. The facility does not have a business license or a Certificate of Acceptability.
3. According to Emergency Services, the property is situated in a secluded residential area and does not allow for entry and exit of vehicles or proper evacuation in the case of public
