PROGRESSIVE CAPITAL EXPENDITURE: JANUARY 2021
 
The Subcouncil Manager informed the members that the cumulative expenditure on Capital Budget projects which are coded for implementation within the boundaries of Sub councils is reported against latest budget provisions via monthly Progressive Capital Expenditure Reports. She said projects have been approved in the adjustment budgets and is included in the PCER report.
 
Project managers reported progress of the following projects at the Subcouncil
 
Drivers Licence Training - Ward 40-WPX.0011497 – Commitment R150 650.  Candidates are attending classes in Steenberg
Capacity Building - Ward 40-WPX.0011517- Assigned R99 490
Capacity Building - Ward 44-WPX.0011518 – Assigned R196 985
Capacity Building - Ward 46-WPX.0011519 – Assigned R 155 021 Additional items has been procured awaiting purchases order
Multi-Activity Market - Ward 47-WPX.0011549-Ald. Antonio van der Rheede and Jemayne Andrews are pending project monitoring Covid 19. Meeting scheduled to discuss possible alternative projects that could be implemented into multi activity market funding

  •  CCTV - Mr A Davies send email informing Subcounci that the Contractor. Informed him the wayleave should be sorted out by end February 2021. He will update Subcouncil as soon as he has any news or changes. Assigned R348,162
  • Ald. Antonio van der Rheede informed members of attempted rape of minor at Manenberg swimming baths. He requested that Line department officials be vigilant and employ the right people at facility as recommended by the ward Councilors. He said he will ask Mr Jan Fourie to schedule a meeting with Mr G Slabbert to resolve issues.
  • Mr J Cedras informed members that PID has been supported by Area Managers, and has been signed by Finance. Deviation report approval expires 28 February 2021
  • Mr S Kemp informed members that the total onslaught of streetlights has compounding effect on safety.
