UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED
It is recommended that it be NOTED that an application for the renewal of extended liquor trading hours (on-consumption) in respect of Cubana Table View, situated at Unit 1, 12 Beach Boulevard, Table View, for trading for on-consumption premises Monday to Sunday (02:00 to 04:00) was considered under sub-delegated authority by the Subcouncil Manager, in consultation with the Chairperson of Subcouncil 3 and Ward Councillor.
The following decision was taken on 06 January 2021:
It was decided that the Chairperson and Ward Councillor and Subcouncil Manager resolved to recommend the application as a new application for extension of trading hours (on-consumption) Sundays to Thursdays 11:00 – 02:00 and Fridays, Saturdays and Public Holidays 11:00 – 02:00 for Cubana Table View, situated at Unit 1, 12 Beach Boulevard, Table View.
A.  That the application for the extension of liquor trading hours (on-consumption) submitted by Cubana Table View, situated at Unit 1, 12 Beach Boulevard, Table View for trading on Sundays to Thursdays 11:00 – 02:00 and Fridays, Saturdays and Public Holidays 11:00 – 02:00 BE APPROVED as it complies with the criteria included in the City of Cape Town: Control of Undertakings that Sell Liquor to the Public By-Law, 2013.
B.   Should complaints be received concerning noise and/or unruly behaviour of patrons, these complaints will be investigated and may result in the extended trading hours being withdrawn and will also be referred to the Western Cape Liquor Authority which may jeopardise the renewal of the liquor licence.
C.  The applicant must ensure that no sale of liquor is made directly to or via a third party to unemployed and/or homeless persons occupying public open spaces in the vicinity of Cubana Table View, situated at Unit 1, 12 Beach Boulevard, Table View.
D.  This approval is also subject to compliance with all relevant by-laws of the City of Cape Town.
E.   This approval will be valid for 12 months from the date of the decision subject to the possession of a valid liquor licence.
F.   That the extension granted is subject to the specific level of lockdown regulations applicable.
FURTHER RESOLUTION
G.  That it be recommended that this application be considered as a new application for Extension of trading hours(on-consumption) submitted by Cubana Table View, situated at Unit 1, 12 Beach Boulevard, Table View.
