                RESOLVED

That it be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from Manyana Liquor Store was considered in terms of sub delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:

Subcouncil 21 recommends that the application for a consumption Off Premises liquor licence, reference no. LLA20030007, for the business Manyana Liquor Store NOT BE SUPPORTED due to the foments received from the following:

	-
Asavela Gingcana – Planning and Building Development: The subject property, namely Erf 7471, Mfuleni is zoned for single residential 2 purposes, which does not permit the sale of liquor for on-site/off-site consumption. The applicant on 05/02/2020 submitted a land use application for off-site consumption to operate from a portion of the subject property. Subsequently, on the same day the case office requested additional information from the applicant to pay an additional R575 to serve notices to interested and affected parties, which was not paid by the applicant within the prescribed timeframe. The application has been refused in terms of section 75(2)(b) of the MPBL, 2019. The applicant may submit a new application, in which case a new application fee may be applicable.
