UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED
 
That the traffic calming request(s) for the period November/December 2020 BE APPROVED AS FOLLOWS:
 

1. WARD 103:  Tiger Street, (between Oncology up to the bend in the road vicinity Rietbok / Hill Streets (SC 7) & Jannie Rossouw (SC 2), Kraaifontein (TNDN: Ref no awaited) / 1016297129 / SR 70261843.  Request for traffic calming (Speed humps)

 
         That 1 X Speed Hump in the vicinity of the formalised Tuck Shop on Tiger Street (opposite cemetery), BE INVESTIGATED and reported on to Subcouncil 7.
 
         Motivation:  All roleplayers present at the site visit, supported the proposal for 1x speed hump along Tiger Street in principle  to be placed in the vicinity of the formalised tuck shop, opposite the cemetery
 

2. WARD 103:  Dangerous intersection:  Mendelsohn / Schubert / Wagner, Sonstraal Heights (Request by Ald. Fourie as initiated at abovementioned site visit),

 
That a 3-way stop at the intersection of Mendelsohn/Wagner Streets, Sonstraal Heights with appropriate warning signage at the curve BE INVESTIGATED and IMPLEMENTED by line department.
 
         Motivation:  All roleplayers present at the site visit at the intersection of Mendelsohn Way and Wagner Street, Sonstraal Heights in principle supported a 3-way stop and warning signage at the curve.
 

3. WARD 103:  Ridge Road, Langeberg Ridge

 

1. That it BE NOTED that 2 speed humps were approved, one was installed with the remainder speed hump to be installed during the 2020/21 financial year, the location of the remainder speed hump to be installed in line with City Policy.

 

2. That the applicant BE INFORMED that the questionnaire submitted iro Pinewood Crescent, Langeberg Ridge (agenda page 406) cannot be considered at this meeting as it is considered a new application and due process needs to be complied with.
