RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND
 
It is recommended that a Portion of Remainder Cape Farm No 77 Ariesfontein, in extent approximately 55 hectares, and indicated as ABCDEFGHJKLM on Plan TA 1197v0, noted as Annexure “A” reflected on agenda page 277, be reserved for the Biodiversity Management Branch, subject to the following conditions:
 

1. The subject property shall be utilized and managed as a biodiversity area/ nature reserve, and the Biodiversity Management Branch shall be responsible to comply with any legislation related to the utilization of the land;

 

2. The Biodiversity Management Branch accepts full responsibility for the general management and maintenance of the land;

 

3. The said department takes cognisance and agree to comply with the internal branch comments listed under Paragraph 8 (agenda page 273), as is applicable; and

 

4. That all costs related to the above be provided for by the Biodiversity Management Branch.

 
FURTHER RECOMMENDED
 
(e)   That Dept of Property Management BE REQUESTED to coordinate a site visit for both Subcouncils 1 and 7 to this property ( Farm Arriesfontein) and that the Office of Director Wilfred Solomons who currently deals with agricultural issues also be included in the visit.
