Subcouncil 24 supports the recommendation that:
It is RECOMMENDED that the motion submitted by Cllr Danile Khatshwa BE SUPPORTED and that Subcouncil 24 engage the Electricity Department of the City of Cape Town to investigate the possible replacement of the street lights bulbs to LED bulbs in the following streets in Japha K Masemola Road, Cekeca Road, Tutu Avenue, Qhekezana Crescent, and Hlanga Crescent to be erected in the corner in front of Desmond Tutu Recreation Centre. That the report be tabled in the Subcouncil meeting.

Status quo remains that the Cllr has allocated funding in the 2022/2023 financial year from his ward allocation for changing of street light bulbs to LED bulbs.

That the item REMAIN on the MRA’s until the projects get implemented in the 2022/23 financial year.

Subcouncil 10 Meeting - 22 April 2022
Matters receiving attention which subcouncil 10 inherited from the disbanded subcouncil 24 and were transferred to subcouncil 10. Chairperson these matters receiving attention are a lot and mostly affected councillors are councillors of ward 95 and 96 respectively. All matters receiving received from subcouncil 24 BE CLOSED and be dealt with by forwarding them to the relevant line departments.
