RESOLVED
 
  1. That an updated expenditure report be forwarded to the Ward Cllrs in order to see the actual figures and that it be placed on the Ward Committee agendas.
 
  1. That the Project Manager, Santesh Maharaj provide more clarity and details on the Build Infra Area2: Signage Mult Bld FY 21 project in Ward 84.
 
  1. That the Subcouncil follow-up with the Project Manager, Vuyolwethu Nongubo regarding the outdoor gym equipment tender that has expired and when will the new tender be in place on all the park projects in Ward 84.
 
  1. That Melani Ohlson provide a more detailed report on the Somerset West PTI particularly around the engagements between the City and the Vineyard Centre in Ward 84 in the January 2021 Subcouncil meeting.
 
  1. That the Project Manager, Andre van Niekerk provide feedback to the Subcouncil regarding the announcement made by the National Minister of Housing that no more housing will be provided free by government and whether this impacts on existing projects or future projects.
 
  1. That the Subcouncil follow-up with the Project Manager when the canal cleaning projects will commence.
 
  1. The Subcouncil will arrange with the Ward Assistant of Cllr Ngwekazi to arrange the meeting with the Project Manager and the contractor with regards to the progress of the sidewalk construction project in Ward 95.
 
  1. That the Public Transport Facility: Makhaza: M Bus Taxi project in Ward 96 be included in the report that Ms Ohlson will provide to the Subcouncil in the January 2021 meeting as well.
 
  1. That a follow-up be done with the Project Manager, Santesh Maharaj on the Facilities Upgrade Area 2: Macassar Muni project in Ward 109 as to when they will be occupying the facility.
 
  1. That the Subcouncil follow-up with the Project Manager, Conrad Freshe as to why the tenders has been cancelled on the Macassar Flood Alleviation in Ward 109 and the Upgrade of Geelsloot Pond - Somerset West projects.
 
  1. That it is recommended that the attached progressive capital expenditure report as at the end of October 2020 be submitted to the Subcouncil for information and NOTING.
