SOUTH AFRICAN BUREAU OF STANDARDS (SABS) LINE MARKING INVESTIGATION FEEDBACK REPORT TO SUBCOUNCILS
Cllr Moses informed the members that the purpose of the report is to request that Subcouncils identify roads in need for monitoring in terms of the quality of road markings, liaise with the relevant district managers within respective areas with regards to locations where longevity and quality of road markings can be tested and including carrying out the monitoring of markings over time through visual inspections. |

RESOLVED |
The members supported the recommendation that:
-
The district managers of the Roads infrastructure & Management Department BE ENGAGE by Subcouncil Managers with regards to the road markings programme.

Two (2) specific locations where the longevity and quality of road markings can be tested BE IDENTIFIED by Subcouncil Managers.
-
Subcouncil IDENTIFY the markings in their respective areas that should be monitored over time.

That visual inspections respect of the road markings over time BE MONITORED by Subcouncils .
