That Subcouncil 4
-
NOT SUPPORT the amount of R319 502.70 to Peninsula Feeding School
Association for rendering of food relief to the community of Bishop Lavis,
Ward 30 because Wards 25, 26, 27 and 28 are not provided for in the food
relief programme.

NOT SUPPORT the amount of R2 407 605.00 to Breadline Africa for the
rendering of food relief to the community of Ruyterwacht, ward 30 because
Wards 25, 26, 27 and 28 are not provided for in the food relief programme.

That CONSIDERATION be given to Wards 25, 26, 27 and 28 within
Subcouncil 4 to derive benefit from the food relief programme.

That it BE RECOMMENDED that the Executive Director: Urban
Management consult with the Mayoral Committee Member: Urban
Management to embark on a Grants-In-Aid process to enable
non-governmental organisations to render food relief to communities within
Subcouncil 4.

That it BE RECOMMENDED that the Mayor’s Special Fund be utilised for
this purpose.

That it BE NOTED that the Declaration of Interest was not signed by the
members of the Subcouncil as all the Councillors indicated that they have
NO VESTED interest in any of the organisations that were recommended. |
