It was RESOLVED that Subcouncil 15 support and recommend to Council that:
 
  1. The application received from Breadline Africa to render food relief services to the community of Brooklyn, ward 55, BE APPROVED, subject to the following conditions:
 
  1. Clarification of the exact amount of beneficiaries per ward/suburb;
 
  1. Clarification required on the identified vulnerable beneficiaries, in Brooklyn, in consultation with the Brooklyn Ysterplaat Rugby Residents Association, to avoid duplication; and
 
  1. The organisation obtain a Certificate of Acceptability for the premises where the food will be prepared, from the City of Cape Town’s Environmental Health Department
 
  1. The application received from Ikamva Labantu Charitable Trust, to render food relief services to the community of Brooklyn and Sanddrift North, ward 55, and Langa, ward 52, BE APPROVED, subject to the following conditions:
 
  1. Amount of beneficiaries to be identified from both ward 51 and ward 52 in Langa;
 
  1. Vulnerable beneficiaries be identified (in both ward 51 and ward 52) in consultation with the street committees;
 
  1. Clarification on the exact amount of beneficiaries in Brooklyn and Sanddrift North, ward 55;
 
  1. Clarification required on the identified vulnerable beneficiaries, in Brooklyn, to avoid duplication; and
 
  1. The organisation obtain a Certificate of Acceptability for each of the premises where the food will be prepared, from the City of Cape Town’s Environmental Health Department.
 
  1. The application received from Pensinsula School Feeding Association, to render food relief services to the community of Factreton, ward 56, BE APPROVED, subject to the following conditions:
 
  1. Vulnerable beneficiaries to be identified inclusive of adults in consultation with the KENFAC CAN;
 
  1. The organisation obtain a Certificate of Acceptability for the premises where the food will be prepared, from the City of Cape Town’s Environmental Health Department; and
 
  1. That the application from Peninsula School Feeding Association also extend to Maitland Garden Village, ward 53, in consultation with the Greenlight Project and KENFAC CAN.
 
  1. The responsible department consult with the organisations supported by the Subcouncil, to allocate adequate funding, in line with the amount of kitchens and total number of beneficiaries, to benefit.
