RESOLVED that, the application for extension of liquor licence trading hours received from reference no WCP/039804 FOOD LOVERS MARKET (LONG BEACH MALL) be REFUSED for the reasons stipulated below:
Drunk-driving road deaths were one of the highest in the world;
Anti-social behaviour, violence and crime;
Family violence (including gender-based violence) associated with alcohol consumption; and
Alcoholism amongst the street people was a major societal challenge.
