Mr. Daniels said that this item was requested by the Cllrs in the previous Subcouncil meeting as they wanted clarity on where the funds were realized and how they were spent.
Mr. Daniels indicated that the recommendation was that the content of the close out report outlining support provided by Subcouncil 14 relating to the COVID 19 Humanitarian food relief program from the 2019/2020 from the savings realized from the ward allocations budget be noted.
Mr. Daniels indicated that the amount paid to the beneficiaries have to be corrected as follows:
Lungile Mtshotwana Foundation amount is R946 248
39 Mamre Women’s Development Forum amount is R213 075
Mr. Daniels further highlighted that statements and report for the two organisations were received, a final evaluation of the reports will be done to monitor compliance, and the report will be submitted to the area director’s office.
Cllr Manata noted the report, seconded by Cllr Nyingwa who indicated that he is still waiting for 20 food parcels from the NGO.
