RECOMMENDATION BY SUBCOUNCIL 22

That Council APPROVE:

The amount of R44 900, Greater Tygerberg Partnership for the rendering of food relief to the community of Forest Village, Eersteriver within Ward 16.

The amount of R106 500.90 to Peninsula School feeding scheme Association for rendering food relief to the community of Malibu Village, Eersteriver in Ward 17.

The amount of R 1 200 000 to Community Women Action for the rendering food relief to the community of Ward 14, 16 & 17.

The amount of R 267 512 to Breadline Africa for the rendering food relief to the community of Sophiatown, Happy Valley in Ward 14 and Bluedowns area in Ward 17.

That capacity building session be provided to the existing soup kitchens and feeding schemes in Subcouncil 22 to enable them to continue to service the community sustainably.

That the Mayco Member and Executive Director of Urban Management ensures that Ward 114 be accommodated and included in the Humanitarian Relief Program through local non-governmental organizations, as the ward has been excluded in the proposals. That the Office of the Mayco Member and Executive Director of Urban Management revert back to the Subcouncil Chairperson and Subcouncil manager regarding this matter.
