Subcouncil 6 supported and noted the report and recommended to the Director: Property Management that the lease of a portion of City land (Public Road and Public Parking), being Erf 2926 Bellville and as shown hatched and lettered ABCDEFG on the attached Plan No TA 476v0, attached and marked annexure A to the report, in extent approximately 7540m² to Oom Vossie Voortrekker Kommando Bellville, or their successors in title be approved, subject inter alia to the following conditions;

A tariff rental of R 1111.00 per annum excluding VAT calculated at the rate applicable at the time of transaction be payable. Rates not applicable;

The lease will endure for a period of ten years;

The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council;

The property be used for community centre purposes only;

Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority;

Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;

No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property;

All outstanding accounts with the City of Cape Town must be settled;

Any sub-leasing or shared usage be approved by the lessor;

A fixed rental be approved by the lessor for sub-leasing or shared usage;

The lessor has the right to use or recommend such other users in liaison with the lessee.
