Activity Day Meeting: 28 April 2021
- Cllr Isaacs reported that he has a potential investor who wants to invest in local economic development in the Macassar area and have been struggling to get the officials together so that they discuss the matter. He said he has set-up a meeting for Friday, 30 April but the and the officials, Racquel Barnard and Duncan Alcock has not been responding to his meeting request. He said one of the biggest sand mining Afrimat who is willing to invest in a five-year plan in Macassar and wants to discuss this proposal but the two officials are not responding and not sure what to do anymore as he does not want lose this opportunity.
- The Chairperson stated that if they don’t get a response from the officials and suggest that the Cllr goes straight to the MAYCO member or the Executive Director as this is the unfortunate situation where officials at area and depot level can’t respond but requested that the Subcouncil assist in this matter.
- The Subcouncil to follow-up with Racquel Barnard to respond to the meeting request of Cllr Isaacs that he arranged in order to have a way forward.
- That the item REMAIN on the MRA’s.
