Ms P Jansen informed the members that the Subcouncil is still awaiting on updated report on all traffic calming requests, which will also be used for the 2021/22 Ward Allocation process.
Cllr W Jaftha enquired about the reason for the delay in submitting the report and reiterated the need for an updated report for consideration during the Ward Allocation process in order to address the concerns raised by the public for traffic calming measures.
Cllr W Jaftha recommended that the Subcouncil requests the Network Management Department: Ms Nobesuthu Nyati to provide a list of all traffic calming requests submitted for Subcouncil 6, including a status report on each request, within seven (7) days.

Ms P Jansen informed the members that the Subcouncil is currently compiling a comprehensive list of all traffic calming measures with status reports for Subcouncil 6 in conjunction with the Network Management Department: Ms Nobesuthu Nyati. Once completed, the updated list will be considered during the Ward Allocation process.

Ms P Jansen informed the members that the Network Management Department: Ms Nobesuthu Nyati has submitted a list of all completed traffic calming measures for Subcouncil 6, which was used to consult with the Councillors in terms of existing requests. The Subcouncil will follow-up on the progress of this report on a monthly basis.

Ms Nobesuthu Nyati indicated that the outstanding assessments that have been requested from the consultants have been received. Ms N Nyati will forward the assessments to the Subcouncil office for consideration in the 2021/22 Ward Allocation process.

Director WSE Solomons-Johannes said the remedial engineering measures issues was discussed at the November 2020 subcouncil meeting and recommended that the matter be closed and removed the matters receiving attention.
The chairperson all issues pertaining to remedial measures must be directed to the subcouncill office.
