That the application for the renewal of the extension of liquor trading hours (off-consumption) in respect of Cedar Spar (Tops), Cnr Vryburger Ave & 8 Botma Street, Bothasig – Mondays to Saturdays 18:00 – 20:00 and Sundays 11:00 - 18:00 BE APPROVED subject to the following conditions:

That the application for the renewal of the extension of liquor trading hours (off-consumption) submitted by Cedar Spar (Tops), Cnr Vryburger Ave & 8 Botma Street, Bothasig – Mondays to Saturdays 18:00 – 20:00 and Sundays 11:00 - 18:00 BE APPROVED as it complies with the criteria included in the City of Cape Town: Control of Undertakings that Sell Liquor to the Public By-Law, 2013.

Should complaints be received concerning noise and/or unruly behaviour of patrons, these complaints will be investigated and may result in the extended trading hours being withdrawn and will also be referred to the Western Cape Liquor Authority which may jeopardise the renewal of the liquor licence.

The applicant must ensure that no sale of liquor is made directly to or via a third party to unemployed and/or homeless persons occupying public open spaces in the vicinity of Cedar Spar (Tops), Cnr Vryburger Ave & 8 Botma Street, Bothasig – Mondays to Saturdays 18:00 – 20:00 and Sundays 11:00 - 18:00.

This approval is also subject to compliance with all relevant by-laws of the City of Cape Town.

This approval will be valid for 12 months from the date of the decision subject to the possession of a valid liquor licence.
